In 1883 the founder of Hultafors, Karl Hilmer Johansson Kollén, invented the folding ruler. These classic folding rulers are manufactured from downy birch with Swedish steel joints, affording thin sections and great flexibility. The joints are heat-treated, coated and oiled at three points to ensure first-class performance. Coated with a water-based protective lacquer for increased resistance to dirt and moisture. Each folding rule is run through inspection to ensure accuracy.
